Help

There's no menu, no buttons. You type what you want to do, in plain English, and the game figures out what you meant.

Most commands are a verb and a thing: examine console, take fuse, open hatch. Small words like the, a, and at get ignored, so look at the hatch works exactly the same as look hatch.

A lot of verbs have more than one way to say them. examine, check, and look all do the same thing. So do take, grab, and pick. You don't have to guess the exact word the game wants.

If a command doesn't work, the game tries to tell you why. "Open what?" means it understood the verb but not what you were pointing it at. "You can't do that here" means that action just isn't a thing in this room.

QUICK EXAMPLE
A long corridor runs the length of the deck...
> examine panel
The panel has been cut open — not corroded, cut. You'll need a fuse and a tool.
> north
Long tables line the mess hall...
> take fuse
You take the fuse from the locker.
LOOK AROUND
lookexamine <thing>examine consolelook at hatch
MOVE
go northnorthnupdown

Full words, short words, and single letters all work the same.
